Cuomo has a ‘preoccupation with his hand size,’ Charlotte Bennett tells investigators

A former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo told independent investigators about his alleged “preoccupation with his hand size” — and what that supposedly meant, her lawyer said Monday.

Charlotte Bennett, who has accused Cuomo of sexual harassment, spoke with outside lawyers hired by Attorney General Letitia James for more than four hours on Monday by Zoom, lawyer Debra Katz said.

Bennett, 25, also turned over more than 120 pages of “contemporaneous records, as well as other examples of documentary evidence” against the 63-year-old governor and his staff, Katz said.

In a prepared statement, Katz said a new piece of information that came to light was Cuomo’s “preoccupation with his hand size and what the large size of his hands indicated to Charlotte and other members of his staff.”

Katz didn’t elaborate on that matter.

“The investigators have been moving quickly, and with sensitivity, to get to the heart of these allegations,” she said.

“We remain confident that their investigation will substantiate Charlotte’s claims of sexual harassment against Gov. Cuomo, as well as the failure of his senior staff to meet their mandatory reporting requirements under the very laws he signed.”

Meanwhile, another former Cuomo aide, Ana Liss, told WNYC radio on Monday that she was contacted by James’ independent investigators last week.

Liss didn’t say what she told them or if her formal interview had actually taken place.

Liss has accused Cuomo of saying, “Hey, sweetheart,” and kissing her on both cheeks before grabbing her around the waist to pose for a photograph in May 2014.

Liss has also said that before going public, she got a call on her honeymoon in December from Cuomo spokesman and adviser Rich Azzopardi, who asked if another accuser — former Cuomo aide Lindsey Boylan — had “reached out” to her.

Azzopardi has said his call was part of an effort to give former Cuomo staffers “a heads up” that they might be contacted by Boylan, her lawyers or “members of the press.”

Cuomo has been accused of groping, harassing or otherwise engaging in inappropriate behavior with seven women, including five current and former aides.

He has denied touching anyone inappropriately or any other intentional wrongdoing and has vowed to cooperate with the probe.
